Pandemic year changed many businesses for good. Impact on some was positive, but most businesses experienced a financial hit from which many will struggle to recover. Fitness and wellness industry was not spared and it went through a profound change. Some of the new trends that are slowly emerging may be the sign of the way the industry is heading. In Manhattan, there a fitness studio scheduled to open in January that will feature private exercise suites, as opposed to an open concept. Clients will be able to reserve the space that will be their private space for a certain amount of time.
- 2020 has made it hard for people to exercise given the restrictions but Hydra Studios will start to offer new option starting on Jan 4 of the new year.
- Hydra Studios will offer private suites in Manhattan’s Financial District neighborhood to allow for people to exercise in private.
- Each suite will have HEPA air filters to make sure everything is extra clean. Monthly memberships will cost $119 for using these very private and clean exercise suites.
“But one wellness studio took the spring shutdown as a time to regroup and rethink exercise for a post-pandemic world––and its model just may be the way of the future.”
